I’m at home looking after two grandkids today, I won’t get much else done.

As usual my ’to do’ list is too long. My desk is a mess and needs to be tidied/cleaned. I should be doing that rather than typing this.

Adding to my list today:

I’d like to somehow have separate repositories for my Hugo blog and my Hugo setup. I want to be able to have the Hugo setup as a public repository that you, dear reader, can see exactly how it is. I want the actual blog source to be private so that you don’t see the draft posts which I don’t want to be published to the public, that’s you again, at least not yet! As far as I can see acheiving this will require a private repository.

Loading WSL/Ubuntu on Windows 10 is so much slower that loading Debian on ChromeOS

I’ve forgotten why I loaded it now.

When I buy a newer version of something and can’t find a use for the older one then I usually use FreeCycle to dispose of the older one.

I have a new Aqara Hub E1¹ and Aqara Motion Sensor P1² connected and working with the Android Aqara Home app³. Today I hope to get them working with Home Assistant (HA⁴)

I’ve had a niggling concern that the hard drive on my Windows⁵ personal computer (PC⁶) won’t last forever and I wanted somewhere to have a backup in the event of a disaster. Google One⁷ seemed to be the most cost effective option for me, so I recently signed up to it.

I’d like to not spend much money on this blog project. Perhaps pay for a domain but that’s about it.

For draft posts, I’d like them to stay private, until I chose to publish them. The only way I can see to do this at present is to keep them in a private repository, and that appears to point to using GitLab rather than GitHub for my Git cloud storage.
